Bid Writing and Fundraising Strategies

The Cultural Engine was commissioned by Essex CC to run a year-long Cultural Commissioning Programme which recogniSed the challenges faced by arts and cultural organisations with limited funding and capacity. Through this programme, we supported many of the counties arts and cultural organisations with bid writing, strategy and business planning, problem-solving and organisational development.

Recognising food as a critical element of culture, we have undertaken significant research relating to the importance of developing projects, strategies and local policies to support healthy food cultures in large urban areas. The Cultural Engine worked with Brentwood Theatre to put together a plan of action that would secure funding from Essex CC to increase their capacity in the key areas of public/charity fundraising and developing strong corporate relationships. The City of Culture.
