Close & Remote: Saturday, June 29 · 10:30am – 1pm
A walk suitable for people of all ages, held along the accessible paths in the park. Accompanied by artists Close and Remote, we will go on a leisurely adventure in the park, encountering activities along the way and with an emphasis on ‘close looking’ at the natural environment.
Expect music, making and laughter, as we encounter new temporary fayre dwellers in the park.
Meet at the Car Park off the B1013
More About the Walk
The walk will last approximately two and a half hours with plenty of rest stops on the way. We will end up at the lake where lashings of lemonade will be served. The walk will be subtly filmed (using iPhones) by Close and Remote with footage from the day to be included in a film piece that will be shown at the Orchard finale on the 28th September in Rochford. If you do not want to be filmed that is absolutely fine.
Booking in advance or turn up on the day. However, prior booking helps us manage things.
This event is part of the wider Orchard Cultural Programme for Rochford District, taking place across summer and early autumn 2024. This Creative Walk, the following open Watercolour Session (30th June) and the film production and screening is funded by Essex County Council through the Arts & Cultural Fund.
