Rural Rochford Imaginarium Event

September 26 @ 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm
Free

Cultural Engine is holding an event to celebrate the completion of the Batik Flags for the Rochford District project, while also exploring the area’s rural identity. The Flags project has been a three year collaboration with local artist Sally Chinea – creating 14 unique flags with local communities with images inspired by the local environment, heritage and culture. An additional flag was also created for Cherry Orchard Country Park. At the event all of the flags will be on display and Giles Tofield from Cultural Engine will be hosting short discussions on the project and the rural nature of the District. There will also be free harvest-inspired craft activities and food and drink.

No need to book! Just turn up.

Running Order:

2.30pm – Parade of the Batik Flags for Rochford from Roche Close (Rochford Library), through the Market Square, along North Street, back through Roche Close and finish at the WI Hall.
